What a Sky!!!

It was a beautiful evening on August 22nd so I decided to go for a drive. 

The skies were spectacular.  Here are a few scenes I found. 

 Found this beautiful scene first. 

A few minutes found this one. 

and just down the road a few hundred feet was this view. 

And then about 10 minutes later a small rain squall blew through.  The clouds look ominous but not much wind or rain. 

All in all it was a great sky night.

I love those crepuscular rays! Even though I have a great view of the eastern horizon from my back patio, I am usually out walking and have to settle for second best, the much softer anticrepuscular (or antisolar) rays to the west over the lake in the wetlands. I usually arrive there just before sunrise, and see them only if atmospheric conditions are favorable.
