Winter Whites ~ Part 1

.....and pales, oh and of course a few pops of red.

I have been enjoying the whites and pale colors of winter. I love the dried grasses that are a delicate shade of brown.  So I have been trying to capture more details instead of just the big winter landscape.

I have been experimenting so alot of these pictures have a different editing style.

Let me know what you think.

...what do I think? They are gorgeous! The first one is a favorite as is the second one. Love the gnarly branches, the cluster of hay bales and grain bins! Thanks Felicia for cooling my off on this warm day in Maui. I'm looking forward to getting back to 'barn heaven.'

Striking group of pictures!

The subjects in all these pictures contrast nicely with the grey skies and snow covered ground.
A grand set of photos. I'm particularly drawn to the fourth one for some reason I can't explain.

You showcase the beauty of winter in these photos. I love the hay bale composition - with them slightly off-center. That first tree is magnificent! Well done!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I love bare trees!
These are all lovely. Trees in winter, when they show off their beautiful form, are so beautiful.

Trees are one of my favorite photography subjects, and trees in snow are just wonderful (and something we don't have here). That means I really love these images, especially the first one. However, my absolute favorite in this series is the fifth photo - this one is processed beautifully and gives the winter landscape a lovely dreamy feel.

Great series! And all the more so because we've gotten no snow so far this winter :( My favorites, in terms of composition, are #1 and #4.
Beautiful photos. I like the editing on these. Works well for Winter whites!

Wonderful winter shots. We've hardly had any winter in the Netherlands so far this year, so I love these snow pictures.

Kudos for this marvelous collection of images! The light and muted colors make for serene scenes. These are shots I wish I could capture [of course, not going out in the snow is a hindrance].

Winter indeed has its own beauty and it is so lovely in these photos, Felicia.
The tree is so graceful and serene , no wonder it is a favorite. I like the first photo because of it and because of the road that promises adventure. But all of your photos (as always) are amazing.
