Tiny Slippered Feet

That's what the stamen's of the tiger lily look like to me.

This version of the wild lily grows abundantly along our back roads this time of the year.

I wanted to see it close up.

Their silky orange petals are so pretty too.

So what do the stamens look like to you?

Well, the caps on the stamens look a lot like a certain person's hair.... but in spite of that, there are wonderful images! Well done!

I was trying to find a post I did on them...they remind me of a toe-dancer (ballerina's) feet...I know I did a post some years back but cannot find it for the life of me. But they always make me think of ballerinas. BTW, your photos are wonderful.

Such lovely images of it. I had some blooming, but the deer ate the buds right before they open, they must be tasty.
