Looking Forward

Michelle at It's a Small Town Life wants to know what I'm thankful for.

I have many, many things to be thankful for; however, in the midst of our hot weather I am very thankful that in a few short months I will be seeing peaceful scenes like this again.

There's just something about following an Amish buggy down a country road with the snow falling gently down that makes a body just want to stop and enjoy life for awhile.

Linking with Michelle for THANKFUL THURSDAY
&

Stop over and show us fences in your area and tell us what you are thankful for.

I love this scene...it is beautiful and yes, peaceful.

I accidentally deleted a comment you made...you probably didn't even know. It was on a post a few days ago...I thought I had done published it and checked my 'comments waiting moderation' I checked it and went up to hit publish and hit delete by mistake...not asking you to make it again. Just saying it was an accident in case you realize I never did publish it.

Yes,as nice as summer island I am enjoying it more these days than I used to, but I do love fall and winter.Nothing like some lightly falling snow to bring a smile to my face.

Timeless scene, and yes soothing to the soul.
Indeed!!
And such a wonderful, peaceful and quiet serenity I see in this photo. I can almost hear the footfalls of the horse's hooves as they clop along the frozen road.

It's like that in parts of NZ right now except we do'nt have amish buggies, something unique you have there.

That makes me think, as often as I've seen buggies, I don't think I've ever seen one in the snow. I guess it's because I do less traveling in the winter. That is a special photo.

Oh I agree with you!
Oh Felicia, it is a beautiful picture (stunning really), but I am thankful that I don't see snow like that in the Winter. (Because I am a weather wimp.)
Thank you for sharing it with me though -- actually, even before we retired, I have hardly ever lived in real snow country. It never lasts long if it does snow here in western Oregon.
