It looks a little alien but yes, pretty. A little pink and peach fuzz, coming into its own.

Nice buds - it reminds me of the magnolia tree in our backyard in Holland when I was growing up.

These are stunning images. Every image has it's own personality and almost look like they have faces! I think I mentioned they call these tulip trees in the south and the ones around here were in full bloom and got zapped by frost a few weeks ago...however, we have HUGE white magnolias that have not bloomed yet and the leaves are huge as well and have huge white blooms. Have I mentioned they are HUGE?? :) Do you have those there in PA?

right, frost is not good for them. I hope they was safe. Not sure about ours. We have cold again :(
