Sky Replacement

One of the neat things about PS that I like is you can replace a blown out sky with one that has pretty color.

This is my first try at a sky overlay and I have to improve a whole lot yet but I want to share with you all.

before

after

Kind of neat huh? Of course I would rather make the image when the sky was beautiful but we don't always have that option if we like the scene.

Don't forget to change your clock one hour ahead this weekend (Saturday night) too

Linking with the gang @ SKYWATCH FRIDAY.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

Great job, and thanks for sharing! Wish more people would post on topics like this. I do a lot of editing on my photos, and it's always interesting to compare and learn from others. I usually don't "replace" a sky, but for a photo like this, I would darken and perhaps add saturation. I strive to make it as beautiful as my eye saw it when I took the photo!

You did a great job on that sky. Yes,ideally we would rather have a perfect scene to capture, but real life is seldom ideals we improvise.

Nice job Felicia. I'm sure I don't have that feature on my (old) version of Photoshop but I'll have a look.

it is really beautiful, I learned to do this in PS but have about forgotten how because I can do it in PicMonkey and I am addicted to it. I need to PLAY in PS before I totally forget it.

Wow, that makes great color! But I didn't think the original needed improving.
