Amaryllis Macro Style

My sister in law gifted me with an amaryllis for Christmas.  If you are a follower on facebook you know I've been posting updates there.  There are a total of 4 blooms on the plant and the 4th one is almost fully open.  It is a gorgeous flower. Kind of a salmon, peachey pink color.

Today I couldn't resist breaking out my macro lens for some images.

It's impossible to get all of the blooms in the image and only the sides of two others.

The petals are very beautiful up close. They have a velvety pearlescent look.

Wishing ya'll a good week.

It's a dreary day here in Tennessee. I opened up your blog and there was this gorgeous flower staring back at me. Thank you. Your photos of the macro are wonderful. That is one area I have never explored. Perhaps one day. Beautiful. Carol

I used to love Amaryllis but it seem they destroyed them where I live. They ae small and boring. :( Yours seem to be the old large one. With a beautiful color. :)
