Autumn Scenes ~ Part 5 (Leaves)

One day when I was on one my day trips in the mountains I found a wondrous sight. I had stopped at an overlook to admire and photograph the panorama of the valley before me.

As I was standing there I began to notice the leaves at my feet and they were covered with water/rain droplets.  I hadn't remembered it raining at my house during the night but it could have rained here in the mountain.

This one was on top of a rock and this is the way I found it. I never touched it. I didn't touch any of them, they are just as I found them. I was quite enchanted.

I made a bunch of images then I drove up the road a bit and got out and walked back a trail where I made the images below.

They were all so beautiful laying on the forest floor and hanging in the pine trees.

I even found this secluded spot. Would you eat a picnic lunch there?

Linking with these meme's as they are available.

Nature makes the most perfect colors and you have captured them beautifully. The raindrops are very artistic.

Absolute gorgeousness if there is such a word. The beauty, and the silence along with the colors are wonderful.

And, ps....Yes, Felicia, the weather vane IS part of the gazebo. There are no other buildings close by on that trail.

Felicia, wonderful Autumn leaves. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photos it's so nice to get the big views and the small ones --there something so wonderful about water-drops -- makes one thankful for digital cameras ... just because that is the kind of photo we couldn't have afforded to take back in the days of having to develop the pictures and so forth)...

I would pass on the picnic, because my dear husband does not like to lug picnic gear around ... we'd do the hike and then go out to eat ;>)

I can tell you have a keen eye. It's so easy to be looking at the big picture and forget to look for the small gifts that are at our feet. And yes, I think the picnic bench looks like a perfect place for a sweet lunch or snack....Great captures....
Beautiful Autumn photos!
