Autumn Scenes ~ Part 4 (Country Roads)

Ok first off I'm gonna warn ya....this is a picture heavy post.

I love to travel back country roads, especially in the autumn. When I'm out driving there's just something about a curve in the road that invites me to get out and make an image.

So today I'm sharing some of my country roads and maybe you will get to see a glimpse of what's around the corner.

they are best viewed in lightbox, just click on them.

Sometimes I'm on my way to a destination and there's nothing to see along the road but trees.

Sometimes after I have arrived there is a gorgeous view to behold. In the above image I am standing looking back where I just came from. If I turn and look out to my right the next image is what you see.

Nothing by gorgeous Pennsylvania mountains clothed in autumn splendor.

Sometimes I'm standing in the middle of the road and looking one way.

Then I'm looking the other way.

So I walk toward the curve to see what's just around the bend. What a view.

And walk a little more off to the left of the above image.

So many roads to explore......so little time.

One thing I always do is look behind where I've just come from.....there's beautiful roads there too.

May the road rise to meet you....may the wind always be at your back.

If you're still with me, I hope you have enjoyed our little road trip.

Yes, captivating scenery indeed, gloriously observed and captured. I'm with you in terms of looking behind (and up) when out with my camera; it's surprising what gems await our eagle eyes! Thank you for sharing.

stunning views and I love all the bends in the road. here if we drive out into the country, the roads are straight as an arrow and nothing but grassy fields, no trees, no colors... these are gorgous. I would love to drive them or walk them

These are gorgeous shots, Felicia! Few things prettier than a tree lined road in autumn. Almost all of our leaves are now gone. I enjoyed your photos!

Nice! We've lost much of our fall color to wind and rain. Still some around.

The curve in the road always leads me on, too. Or a little narrow road that branches off a busy road. they all call my name. And I sure enjoyed seeing your images!

Please don't apologise for too many pictures Felicia. I loved every single one with the autumn light and the autumn colours everywhere. What's best is that there are no other vehicles or people in sight - just the wonderful landscape to enjoy.

Alas! Our trees aren't so colorful this year. :-(
Nobody in this world could ever be bored with your wonderful pictures Felicia. Keep them coming. Autumn is a beautiful season for photography, especially in your area. I too always want to see around the curve in the road... and I love that you show the view from all directions where you are standing!

Una magnífica colección de fotografías con dos elementos comunes. Por una parte, los buenos encuadres siguiendo como línea de interés esos caminos rurales. Por otra, las tonalidades del otoño en su pleno esplendor.
Un abrazo,
Can I move where you are? This is such beautiful country. And your photography is absolutely breathtaking.
I am just like you, love to travel back country roads. You took such gorgeous photos! Amazing colours! Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

So beautiful, Felicia! We didn't have much fall color here this year, so it was nice to travel your roads with you.
