Autumn Road Trip 2016

Mom and I took off Saturday for northern Pa. We thought the leaves would be turned color more north of us.  There were some spots that did have more color but all in all they are not any further ahead than us in Central Pa.

Here are some of the sights we seen.

This is the Marion E. Brooks Natural  Area

You can read the description of what's here.

Interesting enough I only see white birch trees right around the monument.
But then we didn't drive over the whole area.

This is the only bull elk we seen and he was pretty far away. There was one cow with him and three other cows down the road a bit.  Some days you see lots and other days not so much.

We did see lots of empty fields but otherwise the mountain landscapes were breathtaking.

Nope there weren't any elk around the bend either.

Birch never put on the show that sugar maples and white ash do, but these scenes are exciting!

Very beautiful photos on the pretty natural area... Loved the way it was preserved at its natural state and wild existence.
Some glorious scenes there. Shame that I live so far away.

what a sight and one we will never see here, all those beautiful fall colors. I love the last one going round the bend. and I would love to see an elk, any elk. I have never see one
A roadtrip is always fun (in my opinion) and the colors are beautiful.. and one elk is more than a lot of people ever see.

Looks like your autumn is pretty much at the same stage as ours (Sweden)!

Lovely fall shots, Felicia. Restful on the eyeballs. If it ever stops raining, maybe I can get some of our fall color while it's still here.
May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to your home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.
