Last week Mom and I made a trip to Hershey to the new Butterly Atrium at Hershey Gardens.
The butterflies are now housed in a new Conservatory that was just opened this past July.
They have many more butterflies now than what they had before. They have the chrysalis' shipped in from around the world.
I think I've got the identity of these right.
They don't have an identification board yet so I googled them all.
I don't know 2 of them, so if anyone else does please let name in the comments.
This is a picture heavy post...at least for me, but I hope you enjoy.
Sorry I could not find the name of the yellow body one but the other one is a Scarlet Mormon. I'll show you another later.
Leopard Lacewing from Singapore. Underside.
Lacewing with wings open.
Blue Clipper on a pineapple
The Tiger Longwing ranges from Mexico to the Peruvian Amazon
Here is the Scarlet Mormon again on the underneath. This one is from the Philippines.
Here is the Scarlet Mormon from the top. See how pretty transparent the wings are, you can see the red against the light.
Paper kite from Southeast Asia.
A Rusty Tipped Page...found in the tropics. This one was down by the water on a rock.
And this is the other one I don't know the identity of.
I have a few more I'll show you in another post.
Hope you all have a good week.
