Chicory

I have come to really enjoy seeing the cheerful chicory blooming along our back roads here in Pa.

I think since blue is my favorite color that's why I like it so much.

I also like it because it has these curly cue and striped centers.

Now I know some of you gardeners out there will help me out with the names of the flower parts but to me they are curly cues. :>)

check it out. click on the images to view better.

Aren't they just the prettiest little curly cues you ever seen.  I kinda thought so too.  :>)

And just for good measure I'm throwing in 2 red barns to get Tom all excited.

Check out the linkups below.  Ya'll have a good week.

Wonderful, nice flower. Your photos are so beautiful! Well done.

I love cichorei! It grows as a wild plant on roadsides in its native Europe. In the Netherlands and Belgium, the plant is for many centuries present and probably brought by the Romans soldiers.

I like seeing the Chicory flowers too. I like the curly cues. I have seen them in roadside Oregon but not here in Western Wa. Maybe eastern was though.

The barns are impressive but it's your curly cues that capture me. You are making that camera sing, Felicia.

Beautiful color!!
I would like to have some of this in my back yard, but around this area, they won't even SELL the seed...they tell me they're 'invasive'. What about our rights to plant what we want?!!! Huh?

So, I will enjoy them afar...from your blog photos.
