Hoar Frost on the Fence

Sharing some more "frosty" fences today.  Hoar frost make for magical fence images.  I had to do these in a bit of a hurry because I was parked on the side of the road and traffic was going slowly past me looking at me like I was crazy......out there taking pictures of a fence. LOL

Anyone else get that?  We photographers are a crazy bunch aren't we?

I would like to have gotten some better compositions but I like the side of my car the way it is too.

They are stunning compositions as they are, Felicia! I have to admit to being a bit shy still about getting out there to take photos with traffic whizzing by!
Glad you survived to share these magical photos with us!

The hoar frost is beautiful. I would have stopped to photograph it too. I have been honked at a few times, I admit, but I think the roads are made for drivers AND photographers.

That's some frost Felicia - you captured some great pictures there. Yes, we photographers do get some weird looks sometimes which we have to learn to ignore. Ask yourself. Are these folk doing anything more artistic, creative and downright interesting than photography? Almost certainly not.

Oh, yes, I would have been out there with you, snapping away! The fence looks like the beginning of a woven white shawl.

wow winter is coming In europe is definitely fall
Absolutely stunning - I love the patterns nature gives us. Often we pull over to the side of the road for photos - and whenever I see a car by the side of the road I never wonder if they are having car trouble - I wonder what they have found to photograph and also wonder if I can see it fast enough that we too will be stopping. There are certain roads in our area that are known for birds - hawks, herons, eagles - and if you see a car on the side of the road you pull in behind to find their subject and hopefully get a pictures.

That is AMAZING, I've never seen frost like that before. Who cares if the passerby's think you're nuts, it was worth the photos!
These photos are amazing!!! Love that second one so much! I have received strange looks when I've pulled over. I just try to look professional, and no one asks questions. Except once, and they asked if I would make sure their kid got in the paper. Too funny.

Thank you for your well wishes --I am coming along well after eye surgery and I an now looking forward to having the same procedures done to my other eye. The Gift of Sight is a cherished one!

Nicely captured despite your less than ideal vantage point!
Oh, yes, all the time! I also go out for walks, listen to music that no one else has heard of, wear a variety of unfashionable hats and read books about natural history. A real weirdo!
Wow - amazing shots! And envious - at least it's raining her (California has a drought), but temps are not low enough to get frost! Anyways, I enjoy yours! Have a great weekend:)
