Just A Note

to let you all know I'm still here.

Hello friends.

What a crazy busy month it has been.  Long story short, Dad went into the hospital on September 5th after what we thought was another stroke...was discharged to a skilled nursing facility on September 10.....went to a different hospital on September 13th where he was diagnosed with pneumonia, severe dehydration, kidney failure due to the dehydration and a mild heart attack with damage.

Phew.  He is now in a different skilled nursing facility (one I'm much more happy with) and we are taking it one day at a time.  All the stress from the last few weeks has taken its toll and the dementia is much worse.

We are taking it one day at a time.  It's such a big change for Mom and myself but with the help of our Heavenly Father we are making it.

I've kind of lost interest in my photography right now...what with trying to take care of everything.
However that being said my favorite time of the year (autumn) is upon us so I'm hoping to get outside and enjoy some quality photography time.

I'm sooooooooooo far behind visiting you all but I'm hoping to be able to pop in once in awhile and visit.

Until next time, take care all.
Felicia

How can you lose interest in photography?

That's possible?

It's so good to hear from you and thanks for keeping us up to date. I's so sorry to hear about the additional problems with your dad. You have been just where you need to be. And about that photography thing...God put that gift in you and it is there to stay whether you feel like now or not. It's all about the priorities in your life right now...I think anyone of us understands that. Saying that, I do hope that you can find a few moments to take in the changes in the season and snap a few pics...for you mostly...and then you can share them with us. And if you're like me (and I think you are) you use those times to worship, pray and commune with your Father and it just might be the healing balm you need. I'm keeping your family in my prayers, friend.

Hello Felicia,
Your private life is more important than your hobby.
The time for photography comes from itself, when your life back is quieter. I hope that soon all will be better. Good luck!!

Big kiss and greetings,
Marco

So glad to see a post from you...I wondered how things were going. Say a prayer for you and your mom every morn...sometimes evening, too. It is a lot to handle, and we do lose interest in things we normally love during times like this. Take care and keep us posted, even if you don't visit. I am sure we all want to know.
Thanks for the note. The family always comes before everything else.

Good to hear from you! I wish the news was better, but thankful your dad is in a better facility now. I hope you make some time to get out and enjoy the beauty fall has to offer. Winter will be here soon enough. Big hugs.

Dear Felicia, thank you so much for the update. I've not been posting or visiting much myself for the past month or so as I am in the throes of preparing for a house move in 5 weeks' time, and I sure have missed visiting my fellow bloggers and posting images, but it's a necessary time for shuffling priorities - as you too are experiencing but for much more dramatic reasons. Thankful that you are able to lean on the Lord to help you through this dreadful time. Will keep you all in my prayers and look forward to catching up again when the time is right for you. Hang in there! :-)

Hello Felicia,
I can imagine that the disease your father gives a lot of anxiety and stress. It's also a change for your family and your mother. that you have lost as a result of the sentence in the fototgrafie makes sense. Take your time for it.
A lot of strength and a big kiss.

Felicia, My thoughts are with you and your family. Take care of yourself. It's fall here in the mountains, and I assume your fall is just beginning. I think it's an uplifting time of the year.
I am so sorry to read this, Felicia. I hope your Dad's health mental status has improved since you wrote this post. I know how hard this is on you and your Mom as we went through with my husband's Mother years ago. I will keep your Father and your family in my prayers
