Purple & Yellow Beauty

I have had a love affair with photographing clematis this summer.

This is one of my favorites.

Will try to share more later as time allows. Seems like I don't have much of it these days.

The photo below is one of my volunteer sunflowers that came up from the bird seed of last winter.

Real nice macro of the clematis!

It's always interesting to see what volunteer plants show up each year...
Lovely photos! I also love clematis, Felicia, and I have had some luck this summer with growing one in a pot in my backyard. The deer and rabbits have left it alone so far, and now I'm encouraged to plant more next year.

I like the slanted view of the Clematis, it stands out against the soft background. I thought about trying to grow some black sunflowers from seeds but didn't get around to it, but do have some red sunflowers. I like the complex patterns in the center of the sunflower. Many of my flowers are suffering from the heat and drought, but some are troupers. My Clematis are all gone now, though.

Such beautiful photos. You are so talented. I'm taking a short blog break; John's diabetes is acting up. I'll be checking in with you.

The first purple flower is dreamy.
The 'volunteer' flower has done much better than some volunteers (weeds), wouldn't you agree? :)
Have a Great Week, Felicia!
Peace :)
