Playing Around

Ok so I haven't played for awhile. I've definitely never played in Photoshop.  I have to learn how to use it first.

But here is one I played with today.

This is the original.  Some pretty flowers at the arboretum.

Then I applied the stained glass filter in Photoshop.  I like it but I think the effect is too heavy.  I had already saved it so didn't change it.

This one is the neon glow filter in Photoshop.

I can see myself playing more with PS on long cold winter nights.

Which edit do you like best?

I sure love the original. But the playing is fun too. I love to play with the images too.

I like all three. You can also purchase plug ins for your photoshop called Topaz. It would go under "Filters" on the photoshop program.

I like your original! I edit in Photoshop but don't use many of the filters.

Nice shot and effects!
Hi Felicia,
I love the original and
the neon glow. The last
one looks a bit surreal :))
Love it! :)
Have a beautiful day!

They are beautiful...I haven't played in forever. I seem to get in a rut doing the same thing. Plus, when I start it is hard to quit.

I like the photo and the digital art.
Best work gets one when in playful mode, I think!
Nicely done, Felicia!
Have a Wonderful Day!
Peace :)

Your original image is fantastic! As far as effects go I liked the stained glass look more than the neon glow.

Cool effects but I still like the original best☺
Playing is great fun. I just wish i had more time to do more playing. Now if I have to choose between the 2 edits, it would be no 2 but really I prefer the original photo. But carry on playing.

I like the original best, but of the two edits, I prefer the neon. I can see it framed in a coffee shop. Lovely photo.

I use PicMonkey, but also have PS, but just haven't taken the time to play with it like I should.

Always enjoy your photos.

I vote for neon glow. I like the smooth edges. The texture is nice on the stained glass, but a little heavy, as you said.

I really like the last one! The stained glass looks more like a mosaic than stained glass, and you are right, it's too heavy for the subject matter. Your original photo is wonderful too!
Lovely flowers. And playing in Photoshop is the big fun in using the software. So much to learn and experiment with - love it!

Watch Out! Once you get started 'playing' in Photoshop, it's hard to stop. ("Hi, my name is Karen and I'm a Photoshop-aholic.")
