an Eyed Click Beetle.  Isn't it just about the strangest looking critter you have ever seen.

The big spots are not really it's eyes.  For more info click HERE.

Love the hummingbird, but I'm not sure about the beetle.
You got some marvelous hummingbird photos, Felicia! I know how fast they fly!

The beetle's fake "eyes" look scary!

gorgeous hummingbird shots!
Great hummingbird shots... perfect focus and detail! And a cool beetle. The big eye spots must be some kind of protective coloration.

Very nice photos! It's hard to get so many good ones of a hummer! And the beetle is wild looking, isn't he? Hugs!

I would really like to see a hummingbird again. I loved them when I was in Costa Rica on a birdingtrip. Great shots and narrative.

I am always amazed at how birds land on wires, etc and don't miss their mark.

That beetle sure is a strange looking fellow!

Amazing hummingbird pictures!! A few years ago, a hummingbird built a nest on my parents' porch. It was so tiny! Mom really enjoyed watching it all.
I had a click beetle in the house a few weeks ago. I kept hearing this sound and found it clicking on the vinyl floor.
God has made some amazing creatures. :-)

Hi Felicia,
Delightful photos of the Hummingbird!
I wonder if you make your own Hummingbird food - it is not red like the store-bought variety.
I am thinking of making my own.

The beetle is cute - big expressive eyes :)

Happy 4th!
Have a Wonderful Day!
Peace :)
