Springtime love

I was at the arboretum one day to see the tulips and I heard this fellow singing in a tree.  I think he was in love, because there was another one in the tree too.

Oh and I don't know what kind of bird it is....mockingbird maybe????? I'm sure someone will know.

i'd say catbird, maybe! :)

With the darker crown it wouldn't be a mockingbird, if it was gray/dark gray it would be a catbird as TexWisGirl has already mentioned.

SPECTACULAR image!!!

gorgeous photo! I love birds chirping, too, regardless of what type of bird it is. Always a treat. :)
I would sing all day long if I could sit in a blooming tree like this: ♥

Wonderful capture!

Great bird shot and the apple blossoms make an awesome background!

I agree with Tex; a Gray Catbird. The dark crown gives it away. Great sighting and wonderful shot amid the blooms.

I guess the experts have identified it as a catbird; I only knew it wasn't a mockingbird probably because we have hundreds of them here and they don't quite look like that. Whatever it is a beautiful picture and I bet the courtship song sounded pretty good!

This is a lovely photo, Felicia! The mockingbirds here are blue and white and quite large, and noisy!
