First Day of Spring ~ Part 2

We celebrated the first day of spring (March 20th) with a snowstorm.

Here are some sights I seen while I was out and about.

This amish farmer is in a heap of trouble.

This is a summer home not far from my house. The owners call it "The Barn", probably because its shaped like a barn.  This is where the garden shed is at that I shared in my previous post. See it in the left hand corner of the image?

This is another view of the same garden shed.

The snow (5 inches) all melted the next day so we are back to dull and drab brown.

Hopefully soon I will be able to share some real spring time images.

Beautiful images. Good for you getting out in the snow. When it snows here I stay inside.
I know you are probably wanting an end to your winter but I'm in no hurry to see an end to images like these.

Tired of the snow yet?

You are certainly getting some beautiful snow pictures this winter, these included!
On the houses it looks beautiful :) Why doesn't this stuff stay away from the streets? :))
Yes, I'm looking forward to see some real spring pictures from you :)
Have a wonderful week!

They are so beautiful, but not so much for the first day of spring! Hopefully you will have a true spring blooming soon.

The last few days we have so far been able to avoid the snow, though the weather has an advisory for us today. Hopefully it will miss us, as the storm is forecasted to be a bit north. Enjoyed your snow photos--especially of the road. I wonder why an Amish farmer would have a tractor.

A snowstorm is not that pleasant to celebrate the first day of spring. But your photos are wonderful!

I love all of these images even in the snow. The pops of colour in the whiteness are perfect, especially that tractor and the red barn and house. Beautiful photos!

Hello Felicia,
Wonderful pictures with the snow.
It's strange to have so much snow at this moment, but it gives you great pics.
The spring is started yet, but not everywhere I see. Here in the Netherlands every night is to freeze at these days.

Many greetings,
Marco

Even though you must be really sick of snow by now, it hasn't dampened your photography skills!
II recognized that garden shed right away, but was somehow surprised that it was part of a summer home property . It looks so sweet and like it was well used on a real farm.

Anyway, I still love it ... Your snow is pretty , but ...Spring???

Wow, it really came down didn't it?! Glad it's all melted although have to admit it was lovely to look at in all your gorgeous pictures Felicia. Love the lime green tractor, hope it gets a front wheel before planting time comes round :O)

I'm glad you had the snow for these pictures. The snow does enhance the look of these building and especially the color which seems to stand out. A fine series.

Beautiful spring shots. May look like winter but I guess spring snow can be good as a blanket for the earth until it warms up.
