Caught Red Handed

Or maybe I should say caught red pawed.  Look what we seen raiding the feeder one morning.

This is the first year I have put bird feeders out in the winter.  It didn't take the squirrels long to find the seeds too.

How could you be upset with a face as cute as this.

"Uttt Oooo.....do I hear something"?

"What's that thing she's pointing at me"?

 "I better skedaddle".

"I'll be back".

Cute captures of your squirrel. They are pesky little critters.. I have heard of a few people mentioning that they are not happy with the auto-enhance.. I enjoyed this series. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.. Have a happy Valentine's Day weekend!

He looks blue-handed ;-) Love the light, even if he's stealing food.
He looks so guilty in that first shot but I still like them. Have a great St Valentine's Day and a happy weekend.

It's possible to turn off. I did it a while ago in Picassa but don't remember how. Good luck! (I really like him blue though!)
We have to watch our feeders like a hawk....so to speak! lol Enjoy your day! Happy Valentine's Day! xox, Diane

Cute story Felicia!
And I love it, that it has the same colour as the birdfeeder :))
That "enhancement" you can get rid off by changing your profil to google+, then you can change the settings, so it won't happen anymore.

Happy Valentine's Day!

He is beautifully textured through your lens, Felicia. We don't have any squirrels here and is always a treat to see them in photos.

Sneaky sneaker! He doesn't really look all that scared, but you better watch him or he will eat all of your bird seed! LOL!

Yeah, we get squirrels raiding our bird feeders too. They're such acrobats, it's fun to watch them!

I had that pesky auto enhance on my photos awhile ago, and I think I went into my Google+ settings to get rid of it. Good luck!

These critters are very clever when it comes to finding bird feeders - and no squirrel barrier can keep them from it! Very cute squirrel!
My squirrels are so bold they walk up to the slider and scratch on the glass to let me know the feeders are empty. Some times they even let the birds sample a sunflower seed.

Love that last shot, especially

The blue does enhance the cute squirrel a lot, but they are very mischievious, I have 5 now that can show up eating my seeds for the birds. At least they don't eat my vegetables like the rabbits.

That second shot is just about the cutest photo ever.

BEAUTIFUL photos. They're so crystal clear.

I know that a lot of people don't like squirrels, but I've always liked them. Every once in a while I'll see them in the woods around here. (Apart from the busy road a few acres over, we're pretty much out in the boonies).

Where I used to live we had two regular squirrel visitors that liked to be handfed. We named the first one "Sassy." She wasn't afraid of us at all. She would even tap us on our feet to let us know she was here and wanted to be fed. (SCARY when you don't expect it). She later introduced us to her friend, which we named "Samwise Gamgee. (He was a little shy).

They were smart because they eventually discovered where we hid their treats. They would just help themselves when we weren't around.

Darn Bushy Tailed Tree Rat! They would never get away with as much as they do if they weren't so cute...

Cute picture of the squirrel, I finally figured out that if I put a baffle on the pole they can't get to the feeders anymore!

My neighbour got so fed up with squirrels taking food put out for birds that he decided it was easier to just say that he fed the squirrels.

What a camera-friendly squirrel! The ones I know usually run away at the least attempt to photograph them.

Love your commentary… what a cutie! and hey, everybody needs to eat, why not stop at your little open air diner?
Those thieving little scamps are darn lucky they're so cute; it's all that saves them I'm sure! (When we had our house and fed birds I spent a lot of time trying to outwit them -- but they were always smarter than I was.)
