The Blue Hour

The sky was just beginning to clear after a small snow storm and the sun was beginning to set so there was some beautiful light + blue skies too.

 looking west

looking east.

In case you are wondering about the reflections......they are on the road in patches of water from the melting snow.

We are expecting more snow tonight and again Sunday night so hopefully I can get more snow images.  Have a safe and good weekend all.

That first image looks like a road leading into a sea. I hope you're not hogging our snow, Felicia! We're supposed to be going into a warming trend, though today it was very cold.

Very pretty. We don't see much snow here in south Texas so it is refreshing to see blogger photos from the cold country.

Looks like snow clouds coming in from the northwest in your first picture.

I like the way the bare trees are silhouettes in both pictures, looks cold there!
Beautiful winter scenes. I like the rural roads.

nice snowy landscape in Europe we luckily don't have any this winter
Wow, awesome skies! Also love the snow (even though it's cold:) )
That blue light is also a reflection; it's caused by the sunlight being reflected from the blue sky. You've caught the effect beautifully.

Hi Felicia, such a beautiful crisp winter picture. I can almost see my breath.Blessings Francine.
Beautiful "bones" on that tree. You can actually appreciate its structure and grace more when it is leafless.
