Icy Reflections at Ye Olde Swimming Hole

Any one for a swim??????

I'm standing on the bridge looking down into the swimming hole.  See the 2 ropes hanging from the tree?

The next 3 images were made on January 27 in the morning on my way to work.

the next image is down on the other side of the bridge, same day.

These next 3 images were made at the same spot on January 29th and it was alot colder, notice all the frost on the bushes on the creek bank.

ye olde swimming hole frozen over

freezing over down below too. the part in the foreground has a little stream running into it so its not completely frozen yet.

Big snow storm coming Sun-Mon and then another artic outbreak so it may freeze completely.

Linking with WEEKEND REFLECTIONS.

Have a great weekend everyone. Stay warm and be safe.

"Freeze!"
Sound similar to a wintery police officer's command.

Spectacular photos, Felicia! Just think, some people never view scenes like this. Sad, isn't it. Gorgeous reflections.

Yep, looks a little chilly to go swimming but I bet it's a lot of fun in the good old summer time! Stay warm my friend.

To dream away.
Beautiful. But I must say I'm glad our cold fronts down here just means temperatures in the 40-50 range. Ahhhh.

I love these photos. They look like paintings. The colours of the trees and water, reflections and snow are so serene. I don't think I'd be swinging from the tree even in the summer though. :) Storming here today. Stay safe.

A fine series of excellent winter pictures of the swimming hole and area around it. They convey the extreme cold very well.

Wonderful pictures as the postcards.
Nice reflections. In Powell River, BC, we call swinging ropes like that zungas. On the lake where I live, the kids have put up zungas to swing over the water and drop into the cool depths on warm summer days. I bet they can't wait, neither can I. - Margy
Oh I think I'll pass on the swim, thanks very much. What lovely winter images.
