Belly Mushrooms

Yep, I know, not you are wondering what in the world are belly mushrooms.

Well, these little guys are so small I had to lay on my belly to make the images.

But I did not want to miss the opportunity so off I went with my towel (grass was wet) and little pillow to hold my camera.  Still its hard to get the camera to focus on something so small so some of them are not so sharp....but here ya go.....belly mushrooms.

 mushroom wings

 teeny tiny...aren't they cute.

See I told you some of them weren't in focus but I liked the stem of this last one so I showed you anyway.

Hope I can find some more this summer.

Linking with MACRO MONDAY 2. Stop over to see more macro images.

Have a good week ya'll

So tiny but so unbelievably beautiful. Laughed about your crawling around for these photos. I have done that before.

The tiny mushrooms twisted up into all kinds of exotic shapes are fascinating. You were perceptive to see them, and energetic to get down on their level.

Great shots! I'm afraid if I got down on my belly to take these shots that I wouldn't be able to get up. Oh well, I'll stick to taking shots of barns. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Nature is so awesome.

A fine series right down at the belly mushroom level.
The towel and pillow are essential equipment in this kind of photography. Very well done.

so good to see yours.
it will be a while before we see them here.
Aren't they amazing. Glad you had your towel with you. Would have hated for you to get wet grass stains on your clothes.

Mushroom flower petals! Here we can see them in spring and autumn. Great captures of the mushroom fairies.
Mushrooms are fascinating, aren't they? You were a good sport to lye down in the field to get these wonderful photos!
