Success ~ I Got It

Well I risked life and limb but I got it.

I'm referring to my red barn image in the snow.  If you read my post of Monday you'll remember I shared the pic below of a red barn in the snow.  The image was made two years ago on November 26, 2012.

Since we received wet heavy snow today I was hoping I could make another image on todays date of November 26, 2014. Didn't think I was going to but they finally plowed the road so we headed off.

Its snowing much harder but hey the car is parked in the same spot and no it hasn't sat there for 2 years. I think the tree limbs are a bit longer too.

Pulled on down the road and snapped the whole barn.

On down around the corner we came on this scene.  From the time we had left the house till we started back we had another burst of snow and the roads were covered again.
I was glad when we got back home.

I'm hoping Theresa will let me sneak another post onto her meme for,

GOOD FENCES, after all there is a fence in there.

UPDATE--the car has just slid off the road and the wrecker was pulling it back out. she drove away while we were sitting there. no one was injured.

Wonderful photo of the red barn, perfect snow . . .
Do hope the accident wasn't involving anyone you knew or the Amish family in the buggy.

The trees have grown a bunch! Very neat!
Hope they have sharp shoes on that pony!
How I would love to come around the corner and see a horse and buggy!

Love that you came back to photograph it again. I have a thing for red barns!! Especially if there is also an interesting fence. It's like the perfect shot combination for me. And this is a lovely property.
glad all were safe in that snow!

That seems to be dedication beyond the call of duty. But you got some excellent shots.

I think the car may have had too much horse power - not like that cart!

Great set of pictures.

You made it! :) And that tree grew a little in between. But going out in that terrible weather condition, you're lucky it didn't hit you in that accident. Hope everyone involved didn't get hurt.

Stay safe!

I am so glad you braved the elements to get these beautiful shots. I cannot believe anyone would be foolish enough to bring out a buggy and horse in those conditions. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Now, that's rather funny! Horse and buggy appear to be doing pretty well while the "modern conveyance" is in the ditch. :-)

oh I am glad no one was hurt in the making of those beautiful photos. We've had no sticking snow as yet this year...but it will come.

Glad you and they are all right. The barn shots are beautiful. We have two trees in the back yard whose limbs are about to meet each other.:)

The barn shots are totally gorgeous Felicia, postcard images. I really feel deprived sometimes with not a chance ever of having snow in Perth :) Could be a tad chilly in a buggy!

PS Love that barn!

Such gorgeous photos. That would be pretty scary to slid off the road. At least they were all safe.

I really like the update on the snow covered barn. The added snow in the trees adds to the mood of the shot very much. An interesting "real life" encounter with the car in the ditch.

Isn't it great how that great shade of red pops so well against the snow? I'm glad everyone was ok.

You were so brave to be out in the snow storm like that but those shots are amazing and yes, beautiful. Even if I don't like snow that much I can see beauty in it. That Amish buggy was neat to see but I bet that is a cold way to travel.
