Poe Paddy State Park ~ Part 2

Evening friends. Boy I'm sure glad its the weekend and I'm sure you are too.

I'm sharing some more photo's from Poe Paddy State Park.  This park is back in the mountains and consist's only of a picnic area and campground beside Penns Creek.  These images were made on Oct 19th the same day as the last image of my Part One post from last week. You can find that HERE.

I found some beautiful fall images that day.

(you can click on the images to view bigger)

When I left the spot where I had been in last week's post I headed upstream.  As I was approaching the creek off to my right was the view above.  You can see the hunting camp that was in the images from last week.  Moving on ahead and out of the trees I came out into the open to this.

What a gorgeous autumn day it was. I could have spent a few hours here. There was even a bench to sit on. I made bunches of images here and at another spot upstream a bit.

I will share those later, right now I want to move onto a place I found as I was driving out of the mountain. The road runs along side a mountain stream called Little Poe Creek. I am always watching the creek for little waterfalls.  It has some beautiful ones.  (Hmmm that's a neat idea for another series).

Anyway I found a very beautiful spot.

I'm actually standing on a flat rock that protrudes out into the creek, and there wasn't a whole lot of room for me and my tripod, but I didn't get wet.

this image was taken down with the tripod down low and I was very thankful for the articulating screen on my camera.

 tripod a little bit higher

this was was just upstream above the big rocks.

Next week we will go back down to the Park and I will show you the spot where this little creek empties into Penns Creek.
