Queen Anne's Lace Buds

I was out along the roadside today.

I have a new fascination.

I guess you would call them buds.  Queen Anne's Lace aka Wild Carrots.

This is what they look like before they unfold and become a full bloom.

Exquisite views of the Queen's Anne Lace flowerheads, and the progression of the seeds forming and turning red. I can see a few flower petals left in the first photo. The twisting conplexity of the structures is amazing! Great shots.
