Catching Light ~ Lake Sunrise

Digging waaaaaayyyyy back in the archives.  This is one of the first images I ever made, back when I was first learning photography. Dad and I were going bass fishing and had just arrived at the lake.

It was made with an old Minolta manual film camera lent to me by my friend. I scanned the paper photograph which came out fairly well.  I surely wish I would have had a digital camera for all the images I've ever taken over the years.

I love the misty morning light in this image.

Oh me too Felicia! Film cameras were so much more of a challenge though. You captured a beautiful image here the hard way :)

Oh Felicia...this is so beautiful! If you hadn't said anything about it being from a film camera, I never would have known...just looks like a soft edit!! Back in the day, the 70's, I had a Pentax K1000 35mm and took some pretty amazing shots with it...digital just makes it all so much easier! Absolutely gorgeous!!

That is a beautiful photo! You had a great eye for beauty and composition from the beginning. Isn't digital a wonderful way to go now?

Agree with Leovi - great composition. And you were at the right spot--the golden one--luckily with camera in hand. Great result. Last night I was looking at some only 35mm shots and thinking how good they were, but in my case, have to give credit to the location. Hard to take a bad photo of the Blue Ridge Mountains! :-)

Nicely done! Beautiful light! I started out with film SLR's back in the early 80's. Some photographers think film is still the best way to learn.

This is a wonderful image! (By the way, I love fishing! But I love fishing for anything...I do fish with lures, though I keep thinking one of these days I am going to go with worms or crickets.)
