Butterflies

Some more images from our road trip to Hershey.  They have a butterfly house at the Hershey Gardens and that was my main objective for this trip.  So in the coming weeks I will be sharing butterfly images.

I could have spent hours in there watching these gorgeous critters.  If I don't identify them right....please correct me.

The belly of a Pipevine Swallowtail

I'm not sure if this is a Monarch or a Viceroy

The Queen

This Spicebush Swallowtail landed on Mom's arm.

Beautiful captures.
I remember when I tried shooting butterflies, they kept on fluttering. It requires a great deal of patience to get good shots.

I too am a big fan of watching butterflies. Looks like you have some varieties I've never seen for myself: The Queen and the Spicebush Swallowtail. You have photographed a Monarch. :)

Gorgeous shots, Felicia!
They are such stunning colours, great shots Felicia!
Amazing! Stunning pictures. We went to Hershey, but it was in late October, so we missed these and most of the flowers. Wish we could go back. (So many places ....). Thanks for sharing these wonderful butterflies. You are so talented.

Wondering, Felicia, whether you have Emperors [Roman or otherwise ;-) ] in addition to Queen, Monarch and Viceroy? Superb photographs. I have visited Pennsylvania once ... loved the Reading Terminal market. Sadly it was January ... so no butterflies about then.
