Waterfalls

Another one of my favorite things to photograph are waterfalls. I love to use a slow shutter speed to make the water look like silky cotton.

These photos are of a mountain stream not real far from my house.

If my camera properties are correct they were taken in July 2006. I need to go check it out again.

These first three are the main stream and the last two are a smaller stream that flows into the bigger one.

I like this effect on the water, what beauty you have captured!
Wow, these are stunning shots!! I'd be curious to know how long the exposure was to get this silky water.
Gorgeous photos! I love the silky effect you get for the waterfalls.

Beautiful shots! I also love to photograph waterfalls. We have tons of them in Oregon. The Columbia River Gorge is full of them.

Wow, I love the effect that the slow shutter gives to the water. But how do you not blow out the surroundings? Are you using a small aperture? Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos and reminding me that I need to try this again. Your images remind me of a magical forest.

Really beautiful captures! I've never tried that slow shutter speed for waterfalls and haven't really had the opportunity to photograph any lately. The greens of the moss and ferns are brilliant with the white water. Very nice!
