Sunset Reflections~Part 3 ~ What I Was Waiting For

Evening folks, picking up where I left off last week

I turned to take one last look and saw this.....................

Oh joy............ I'm not going to be disappointed at all.

I started back toward the water, mumbling to myself that I should have known better to just wait a little bit longer.  Still I hadn't gone that far so I was able to return.

When I got back to the water, I still waited about 5 minutes longer before making the above image and then all the remainder are about 1 minute apart sometimes less. Of course there are bunches in between that I have not posted.  The color I had been waiting for appeared off to my right.

 slowly fading

and almost gone..........but the memory lingers on.

PS I have seen one other sunset that I was privileged to capture that I think was even more beautiful than this one.  I will share sometime.

These are beautiful! Sometimes the best colors appear up to 30 minutes after the sun goes down.

Really lovely, what a tranquil scene. Glad you turned back to capture it. It's amazing how you think a sunset (or sunrise) can't get any prettier, but if you wait just a few more seconds, the colors change and/or deepen and it does… and it keeps doing that till it's gone! Just one more reason I'm grateful for digital photography! :-)
