Mowing the Cemetery

Last week I told you about the rural farming valley to the south of where I live called Big Valley.

For this post we are going back to the Big Valley.  I've got bunches of photo's from this scenic valley.

We were over there one evening and a decided to take a back road on the way home.

This is the scene that we came upon.

We've been spotted.

This is an Amish cemetery.

Apparently they keep sheep there to keep the grass mowed so they don't have to do it.

Pretty ingenious huh?

Make sure you visit to see more great photos from around our world.

Great pictures of an great landscape!
The cemetery is old and no longer in use, right?
Or the people refuse to decorate graves and this venture of a simple life would seem reasonable to me also (we always give fresh flowers to the graves and are watching for the others, if they graves cared enough, because they measure each other's love of family - what a forced!)

That's a low-cost way to get your yard mowed!

Ingenius! I had an uncle that retired and then started mowing cemetaries to supplement his retirement. I think he would have liked this idea. Thanks for linking up!

How very interesting Felicia, I thought it had to be a cemetery of some sort.. Amish! they do like to keep it simple don't they, I kind of admire that, sometimes we can go totally overboard.
