Black & White Wednesdays ~ Old Character Trees

When I am out hunting for photos, I am also looking for trees...dead ones. I like the way their gnarly limbs reach out for the sky.

I found one on Sunday. It still had some green foliage on it. There were puffy white clouds in the sky and it just shouted to me to be a black and white photo.

I'm joining Adrienne at My Memory Art for Black and White Wednesdays.

Please visit to see other wonderful black and white photography.

Perfect for black and white - and I'm with you on the trees. I'm so obsessed that "tree" was my word for the year. No joke! Thanks for linking up!

I enjoy b&w photography so much. This one works well because of the white puffy clouds, I think. Very nice!

How interesting that you like dead trees - so do I. This one is lovely and so well presented in black & white.

Yes this turned out fantastic in the B/W.
I love all your photos. We have an old hollow tree that looks like the tree from Poltergeist....grin.

Last year it was filled with baby Raccoons peeking out after dark.
